Tools for Educators During a Public Health Crisis - This tip sheet from the Northeast and Caribbean Mental Health Technology Transfer Center (MHTTC) provides educators multiple strategies for staying informed, practicing self-care, and noticing signs of distress while working during a public health crisis. The tip sheet also includes recommendations for teachers in supporting students and families during COVID-19, as well as information regarding useful self-care apps and national hotlines. 

Social Emotional Wellness: Considerations for Teachers and School Staff - This tip sheet from the Virginia Department of Education highlights the importance for educators of practicing self-care strategies, managing stress, and exploring their social-emotional wellness. Along with guidance for gauging educator and school staff wellness, the tip sheet includes a section with links to relevant resources, webinars, tools, and more. 

 



Teaching Children to Become Community Protectors

The CDC, CDC Foundation, and Oklahoma Tribal Engagement Partners created Community Protectors to educate children on ways they can stay safe and help protect their communities from the spread of COVID-19. Popular with American Indian and Alaska Native children and educators, the Community Protectors follows the same characters of the Eagle Books in a 20-page hybrid story and coloring book. Asian American, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander In-Language Resources for Coronavirus (COVID-19)- In this guide, you will find resource links to improve the well-being of Asian American, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander communities while keeping language access barriers in mind.

"Medicare & You” Handbook  - Now Available in Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese,  
this guide supports access to culturally and linguistically appropriate health care with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This handbook will make health care more accessible for nearly one-third of Asian Americans who are limited English proficient. The translated handbooks are now available to download at Medicare.gov or to order from 1-800-MEDICARE for free. CMS also publishes several other documents in 23 languages, including Haitian Creole, Portuguese and Tagalog available here.
